The new Fairways kennel is now open for business!
We opened in October and it has proved very popular with friends new and old. Come and check it out for your next break.
Renea cuts the ribbon to officially open the new building!
The kennel building is now underway and the building will be complete in a few days. Zak has been out with two of our guests, Lucy (a Great Dane) and Maggie (a Newfoundland) to test the size of the hatches between the sleeping area and secure run. Check out the Kennel Build page for the latest photographs.
Our new kennel build is really progressing now. The kennel foundations are complete, the electricity supply has been upgraded and the new drains are going in. The prefabricated kennel building is due at the beginning of next week and should only take a few days to build.
The foundations are now going in for the new kennel and cattery and the build will start soon. It only takes about 7 days to construct the new building so the new kennel should be open for business soon.
It is with great sadness that I have to tell you that our beloved little Cavalier King Charles, Logan, passed away on Monday 23 January. He had been battling with a serious heart condition for the past 4 years and had been coping well right up until the end of last week. He went down hill very quickly and sadly died peacefully at Meadows Veterinary Clinic.
We would like to say a big thank you to Emma and Eunice at the Meadows Vets for the gentle and caring way they handled Logan and for giving us all the time we needed to say our goodbyes.

News Update 24/11/11
After 10 weeks of hard work we opened for business on 23rd November and our 1st guest arrived on the day we opened. We are now taking bookings and the calendar is filling up, with enquiries as far ahead as next October. We have now started the next phase of renovation which will allow us to provide another two family sized kennels. We hope to have these open early in January. The planning for the new kennel, cattery and small animal development will begin very soon.
It's been hard work but the kennels are nearly ready to open. We have totally renovated the inside of the kennels so I am sure those of you who have used the kennels before (previously called Newmachar Boarding Kennels) will see a huge difference. The new heaters and lights are being installed this week and as soon as the new beds arrive we will be ready to go.
We now have a licence so we are aiming for an opening date of 23rd November 2011, At the moment we have availability for December so if you are in need of a kennel for your dog please give me a call. I can guarantee your dog will be well taken care of with lots of attention and daily walks.
The kennel refurbishment is well under way and we have applied for our licence. We’ll let you know as soon as we have an official opening date.
